World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.
For example a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).
The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. item upgrading and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the item to the upgrade (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with fewer Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level with normal methods.
A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.
Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a substantial chance that the item could be obsolete or even break when it fails; a failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in a radius around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible up to 15 levels.
You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective way to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.
The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.
Each Glyph has a certain range of values that it can improve a statistic by, and the value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.
The use of a Glyph will boost all nodes that are connected to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For instance an Druid should try to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When an individual player improves the equipment they have the original item will be replaced with the new item. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback in that the item could increase in price even if you don't need it.
If the player has enough tokens they can reroll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with an initial level and a different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it's not something that should be done regularly, as it could waste many resources.
Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like dolphins). This item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.
All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to go to its original state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.
If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it earned, such as the chance to crit damage to attack, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost that are listed above.
